Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting

A large publicly traded organization seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to join its corporate accounting team.

This role will play a key part in external reporting, technical accounting research, and ensuring compliance with SEC and U.S. GAAP requirements within a complex business environment. The position offers significant exposure to senior leadership, strategic transactions, and high-impact accounting initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
• Support the review of consolidated financial statements and external reporting deliverables
• Research and analyze complex accounting issues and business transactions
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda supporting accounting conclusions
• Monitor evolving FASB and SEC guidance and assess impact on the organization
• Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams on new initiatives and transactions
• Coordinate with external auditors and advisors on technical accounting matters
• Participate in special projects and strategic corporate initiatives
• Support compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal control requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
• Experience with SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP research
• Ability to communicate complex accounting matters to various stakeholders
• Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
• Exposure to Oracle or similar systems is a plus
