Support Services Specialist II

Acting as an advocate for patients, the full-time Support Services Specialist II will facilitate coverage for medical expenses by researching and reconciling accounts, communicating with clients and payers, and managing daily account functions in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities: Create, maintain, and file various accounting reports and correspondence Research and reconcile accounts while interacting with patients and utilizing medical billing systems Assist with escalated customer issues and provide training to team members as a subject matter expert Required qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting Minimum of 1 year of experience in patient financial services or insurance collections Proficient knowledge of commercial and government insurance plans, as well as medical terminology Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining HIPAA compliance
