Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides expert nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and acute care. They ensure patient safety and comfort through assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and monitor vital signs, with particular focus on cardiac parameters.
• Implement and evaluate care plans based on patient needs and clinical data.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician directives and hospital policies.
• Communicate changes in patient status, including diagnostic results and symptoms, to physicians promptly.
• Educate patients and their families about care procedures, treatments, and health management.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver coordinated and quality care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current and valid state RN license.
• Maintain BLS (AHA or Red Cross) and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certifications.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience.
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
• Be able to float to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, quick decision-making, and effective communication skills.
