Job Title: Lens Maker I (Production Worker)
Location: Lancaster, NY
1st shift 8am to 4:30pm
Pay rate: $17.50/hr

Overview:
The production worker role will contribute to specialty contact lens manufacturing on a made-to-order platform. This entry-level role offers comprehensive training and the chance to work with cutting-edge precision equipment in a collaborative production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate computerized contact lens manufacturing and lathing equipment, manual polishing machines, and optical blocking equipment
• Perform lens deblocking, product inspection, packaging, and shipping
• Maintain accurate lens identification and traceability throughout all process steps
• Record and report production data and observations
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and government regulations
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and follow safety practices
• Coordinate daily tasks with supervisors and team members
• Use enterprise production systems to manage orders and workflow
• Handle incoming materials, replenish supplies, and assist with equipment maintenance
• Participate in periodic business-related projects and support continuous production improvement
• Occasionally work overtime as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent or GED
• Basic computer skills and strong verbal/written communication skills
• Strong math skills are a plus
• Good hand-eye coordination for handling small parts
• Medical device manufacturing experience a plus, but not required
