Job Summary TYLin is seeking an experienced City Solutions Practice Manager to lead and grow our Los Angeles transportation planning and advisory practice. The role will drive business growth, strengthen client relationships, oversee project delivery, and lead a high‑performing team in the Southern California market. Responsibilities Business Development & Client Leadership : develop and execute business development and marketing strategies to achieve annual sales goals; build and maintain strong client relationships; identify new market opportunities; lead pursuits, including teaming, proposals, interviews, pricing strategies, and go/no‑go decisions; partner with Practice, Sector, and Area Leaders to grow TYLin’s presence in the Southern California market. Project Delivery : serve as Project Principal or Project Manager on strategic projects; ensure high‑quality project delivery, client satisfaction, and effective resource planning; promote quality assurance and technical excellence across the practice. Operations & Team Leadership : manage regional financial performance—revenue, utilization, profitability, and forecasting; oversee business planning and operating budgets; recruit, develop, mentor, and retain top talent while fostering a collaborative, high‑performing culture. Qualifications Minimum bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional registration preferred. Approximately 20+ years of progressively responsible experience in consulting or the public sector, including leadership roles. Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, and practice growth. Strong operational and financial management skills. Established relationships within the Southern California transportation market. Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Benefits Base compensation range of $216,000 – $260,000 annually, reflecting pay‑equity commitment.
