We are seeking qualified applicants for the position:Lead Analyst, CostLocated: HoustonJob Posting – Lead Analyst, Cost - OFEWe are seeking a Lead Cost Analyst to be based in Houston, TX with some travel to Arlington, VA, Cameron, LA and New Orleans, LA.SummaryThe Lead Cost Analyst will provide oversight to project logistics activities and is responsible for achieving safe, cost effective, timely and contractually compliant project results. The role will also require effective communication to Project and Executive Management for timely decision making and incorporation of stake holder input. The Lead Cost Analyst will report to the Manager of Project Controls. General Description Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead a Safe work cultureMaintain and provide oversight of project budgets, conducting detailed variance analysis to track actual costs against forecastsUtilize predictive analytics to anticipate budget risks, logistics bottlenecks, and supplier price fluctuationsRoutinely engage with project management to review cost forecasts, change orders, value of work done (VOWD), and trendsOversee effective project reporting, monitoring and evaluation including regular project progress and performance reportingSupport the mitigation of project challenges through creative and innovating problem solvingContribute to effective and efficient project controls oversight of projectsReport on project status, performance, constraints and issues to Senior and Executive ManagementAuditing of freight invoices to ensure compliance with contractsMaintain a thorough understanding of industry standards, including import/export regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) complianceOther responsibilities as assignedQualifications8+ years of relevant experience in major Oil & Gas Engineering and Construction projectsComprehensive understanding of transportation, inventory management, freight cost structures, and supply chain logistics.Experience with LNG Liquefaction or Combined Cycle Power Generation projects preferredAbility to perform multiple tasks and work within project deadlines, and adjust as priority changes occurExhibit excellent written and oral communication skillsHave advanced computer experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, experience with EcoSys and Power BI preferredExcellent attention to detail and ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize informationAbility to work nights and weekends as requiredVenture Global LNG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
