Litigation Attorney

Overview Arend & Sisk PA is seeking a motivated and confident attorney to join our busy civil litigation practice. This is an in-person position at our Fort Myers office, however our practice is throughout Southwest Florida and travel to court events is required. Responsibilities Day-to-day handling of litigation cases with excellent customer service skills as we guide clients through the case process Attend client meetings, hearings, depositions, mediations and negotiate settlements Draft/review substantive pleadings and motions Respond to motions and discovery Prepare cases and present material clearly and logically, both verbally and written Take initiative to plan, organize, coordinate and perform work when numerous and diverse demands are involved We invest in your professional development and your future The firm has low staff turnover and we work as a team. Work Location: In person Experience and Skills Required Admitted to and in Good Standing with the Florida Bar Minimum of 2-years' experience practicing law in the state of Florida; insurance defense experience preferred Proficient in technology including Microsoft, Zoom, Teams and online research databases Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences Ability to exercise a high degree of independent judgment in conducting legal research, interpreting and applying laws and preparing legal documents Strong analytic skills including proofreading, thorough editing and attention to detail #J-18808-Ljbffr
