Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room, traveling assignment in Burlington, VT. Start 10/19/2026 for 16 weeks, 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Evening). Weekly pay range $3,058 to $3,296 per week with 0.0 guaranteed hours. This role is in a hospital OR setting with large academic, teaching-hospital experience preferred and requires flexibility to meet unit and patient care needs.

Responsibilities
- Provide intraoperative nursing care for cardiovascular/open heart procedures as circulating and/or scrub nurse, depending on assignment
- Maintain sterile technique, ensure instrument counts, manage surgical equipment and supplies, and assist the surgical team with prepping and turnover
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, document in the EMR, and communicate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating staff
- May be required to float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc); if floated, you will circulate, not scrub
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient safety, anesthesia depth, and workflow efficiency
- Adhere to all hospital policies, patient safety initiatives, and infection control standards; respond to urgent events as needed

Requirements
- Active RN license (state of practice) or eligibility
- BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years OR nursing experience with recent cardio vascular/open heart exposure
- Must scrub hearts; ability to perform circulating duties if required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Prior travel experience required
- Flexibility to meet unit needs; may be floated to other OR suites and to participate in scheduled on-call requirements
- Large (500+ beds), academic teaching hospital experience preferred
- Must be able to work a schedule that may include after-hours calls and holidays
