Job Summary

NetApp’s Enterprise Employee Communications team is looking for a technical manager to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will be leading and defining intranet strategy and governance across the enterprise, working with stakeholders to define and manage solutions for internal SharePoint-based web sites, communicating technical information to our 500+ stakeholders, and overseeing our email analytics program (PoliteMail). You will also manage employees and contractors within this team.

Responsibilities

• Manage SharePoint governance and strategy; define intranet strategies across the enterprise, lead steering committee, maintain partnerships with IT, manage vendor relationships, prioritize stakeholders, and communicate our partnerships/governance with key stakeholders
• Manage employees (goals, priorities) and contractors (contracts, budgets, priorities)
• Lead team priorities, metrics and goals. Communicate weekly and quarterly wins. Develop and track SharePoint metrics regarding usage, engagement, and customer satisfaction
• Oversee team processes, templates and tools to track requests, sites, and stakeholders
• Actively support ~35% of key stakeholder intranet projects and relationships. This includes understanding, advocating for, and managing stakeholder requests – create specifications, troubleshoot issues, manage timelines, edit sites, propose layouts, track and test changes, engage with IT, communicate progress and meeting decisions
• Understand and be able to communicate technical intranet features, issues, and strategies
• Investigate new tools and technologies for web sites, email metrics solutions, etc.
• Partner with stakeholders to explore and responsibly apply AI capabilities across the intranet platform, improving content discovery, stakeholder support, and the employee experience.
• Oversee stakeholder training via classes, support materials and monthly communications; this includes content development, regularly updating support materials, and training for key stakeholders.
• Assist stakeholders with issues and provide in depth technical information on SharePoint and other tools; understand and troubleshoot permissions as required

Education

• The ideal candidate is detail oriented, multi-faceted, a creative problem solver, and comfortable working with teams who are remote (via phone, Zoom, email, IM, etc.).
• Excellent communications skills (oral and written); detail-oriented, methodical
• Ability to manage schedules, priorities and deadlines for multiple projects
• AI literacy, including the ability to evaluate and responsibly use AI tools to improve content discovery, stakeholder support, and the employee experience
• Has knowledge of:
  • HTML and/or other web-based technologies
  • Microsoft SharePoint & Teams
  • Microsoft Office 365 products
• 8+ years of industry experience
• 3+ years employee management experience
• 3+ years knowledge of email analytics solutions (PoliteMail is a plus)
• 3+ years in-depth, technical knowledge of SharePoint web parts, lists, permissions, and workflows
• 2+ years of training experience
• Customer-focused attitude
• Ability to research technical questions
• Ability to troubleshoot coding and application issues
• Willing to learn and open to taking on new roles and responsibilities

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $147,000 - $174,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
