Able Life Services is seeking an organized, energetic, and hands-on Activities & DSP Coordinator to help lead the daily structure of our Adult Day Habilitation program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating engaging activities, supporting staff, maintaining organization, and helping programs run smoothly day-to-day.
The Activities & DSP Coordinator will oversee daily programming flow, assist with DSP guidance and accountability, prepare activity schedules/materials, and help create a positive and structured environment for participants and staff.

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain weekly activity calendars
- Plan engaging daily activities for adults with developmental disabilities
- Organize activity supplies and prep materials ahead of time
- Create and maintain activity bins/stations
- Help assign and coordinate DSP daily responsibilities
- Ensure DSP staff are following schedules and activity structure
- Assist with participant engagement during activities
- Support community outings and special events
- Help maintain a calm, organized, and positive program environment
- Monitor activity flow and transitions throughout the day
- Assist with documentation oversight and daily program organization
- Help train and mentor DSP staff on activity leadership and participant engagement
- Work closely with management to improve program structure and participant experience
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities required
- Experience in Day Habilitation, special education, recreation, behavioral health, or human services required
- Bilingual Spanish required
- Must live in Jersey City
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and manage daily structure
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable leading group activities
- Reliable, professional, and proactive
