About the Role
The Company is seeking a President and CEO to lead its well-established regional organization. The successful candidate will be the primary spokesperson, representing the region to a wide range of stakeholders, and will be responsible for building and sustaining relationships with investors, government leaders, and business owners. This role requires a confident, entrepreneurial leader with a collaborative mindset, capable of guiding economic development priorities, overseeing financial and operational health, and engaging effectively with the Board of Directors. The President and CEO will also be tasked with leading the organization's approach to workforce development, pursuing grant funding, and advocating for the region at various events. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' of experience, with at least 3 years' in a leadership capacity, and a proven track record in goal implementation and business growth. Strong financial acumen, a background in business, and familiarity with the economic development landscape are essential. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an outstanding communicator, and a natural connector, with the ability to anticipate change and bring diverse stakeholders together. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, along with experience in economic development, grant writing, and event planning. The role demands a resilient individual who is action-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects, and comfortable with public presentation and negotiation.
