Quality Control Technician – 2nd ShiftPay: $17.00/hrShift: 2nd Shift, 4:15 PM – 2:45 AMSchedule: Monday–Friday, some SaturdaysLocation: Oak Ridge, TNJob SummaryWe are looking for a dependable Quality Control Technician to join our team on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for performing inspections and measurements on current die-casting projects to ensure parts meet customer specifications and quality standards.The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, good math skills, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Previous quality experience is a plus but not required.ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process inspections and complete required inspection documentation.Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, height gauges, and other measurement equipment.Perform visual inspections to identify defects and ensure parts meet customer specifications.Prepare and complete first-article and last-article inspections.Maintain organized measurement and quality documentation.Communicate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams regarding customer drawing requirements.Perform dock audits and receiving inspections as needed.Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Assist with troubleshooting quality and measurement issues.Train new team members on equipment and procedures when needed.Maintain knowledge of operating procedures and quality processes.Use Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.Qualifications2 years of quality experience is a plus but not required.High school diploma or equivalent.Experience using inspection equipment and measurement tools is a plus.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Good communication skills.Solid math skills.Strong attention to detail.Excellent attendance and reliability.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Preferred Experience – Not RequiredX-Ray inspection experienceMetrology equipmentCMM experienceInternal auditing experiencePhysical RequirementsRegularly travel between the Quality Lab and shop floor.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. due to some heavy gauge fixtures.Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, vibration, airborne particles, and elevated noise levels.Why Join Us?If you have an eye for detail and are interested in building your experience in quality control and manufacturing, this could be a great opportunity to grow your skills in a hands-on environment.Apply today or call Employment Solutions at View phone number on click.appcast.io to register#IND1#ZR #J-18808-Ljbffr
