This includes complex maintenance, repair and installation projects related to production. Will also setup, calibrate and troubleshoot CNC machines.What You Will DoPerforms the full range of complex maintenance, installation, and repairs of all equipment required to accommodate the needs of the Manufacturing departments.Performs scheduled maintenance on machine tools including cleaning, lubrication, filter changing, belt replacement, adjustments, and basic repairs.Provides mentoring and technical guidance to less experienced maintenance techniciansEvaluates machine failures and recommend the most effective repair methods.Maintains work orders in CMMS program.Conducts routine inspection and testing to ensure conformance to established calibration standards.Utilizes calibration software and diagnostic tools to identify faults or non-conformance and to track results.Maintains clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization.Continually seeks to improve work processes and individual performance.Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department.Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures.Install, adjust and maintain fixturesAssist in fixturing diagnosis and resolution; Interpret fixturing procedures; Check fixtures; Trouble shoot fixtures and calibrationRecalibrate mills after maintenance was completedPerform machine/fixture calibrationAssist in new mills set up and changesAssist launch of new processes and fixturing. (i.e. lathe milling)Perform approved exceptions to the milling process as needed. (i.e. Trunnion adjustments)Provide feedback regarding fixturing issues to managementAssist with implementation companywide CMMS program (Pirana)Perform other related duties as assigned.What It TakesRenishaw XL-80 Training Program Certificate – or willing to obtain3+ years hands-on experience maintaining and repairing complex electrical and mechanical equipment3+ years experience maintaining and repairing production equipment in a milling/machining production environmentAbility to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawingsGeneral maintenance experience to include compressed air, mechanical and electricalHigh Mechanical aptitudeAbility to effectively interact with people at all levels of the organization, including operations, engineering, and management, and to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentAbility to mentor, coach and provide training to less experienced team membersAbility to read and write in English, do basic arithmetic, and follow printed and computer-screen instructionsStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to use computers for the creation and manipulation of files/data using Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Strong attention to detail.Flexibility to work outside normal day time hours as needed. Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and work ethicAble to use chemicals in accordance with safety standards.Able to work safely with sharp & heavy objects (e.g., utility knives, aluminum blocks).Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, dial indicators.Physical job requirements: Stand for up to 12 hours. Lift up to 70 pounds waist high; carry up to 70 pounds alone. Reaching, bending, & grasping.Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.Must be punctual & have good attendance.Able to comprehend & follow printed & computer-screen instructions, & direction from supervisors or technical leads.
