Job Description
- Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and create personalized therapy approaches to support their functional objectives
- Implement Evidence-Based Interventions: Apply proven therapeutic techniques to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily activities
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Partner with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver holistic, comprehensive care
- Train Patients and Families: Offer insight and guidance on therapy methods to assist patients and caregivers in continuing their progress at home
- Track Progress and Adjust Treatment: Monitor outcomes closely, making necessary adjustments to ensure patients remain steadfast on their path to recovery
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
- Ongoing education or advanced certifications highly encouraged and supported
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license required
- NBCOT certification essential
- A deep passion for supporting others and a natural motivation to help them achieve higher levels of independence
- Effective and empathetic communication skills for engaging both patients and team members
- Creative problem-solving abilities to adapt treatment plans for diverse needs
- Confidence in working autonomously as well as part of a cohesive, interdisciplinary team
