Manager, Site Civil Engineering

MANAGER SITE CIVIL ENGINEERING

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead a team of engineers to design and build civil infrastructure.
• Lead a project team of engineers and contractors throughout the entirety of civil projects including design procurement construction and commissioning.
• Develop and issue drawings design documentation and reports for industrial and commercial type projects.
• Write negotiate and manage construction contracts across multiple disciplines through contract close-out.
• Manage the execution and completion of construction projects.
• Interact with contractors fabricators owners and clients.
• Provide direct onsite engineering inspections and field observations.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline.
• 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering design analysis and drafting.
• 2 years of experience in a leadership position.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrated experience where quick thinking and tangible problem-solving skills play a critical role.
• Demonstrated experience fostering an environment of extremely high personal accountability and responsibility.
• Understanding of other disciplines such as: mechanical electrical piping geotechnical and surveying.
• Experience reading reviewing and approving shop and fabrication drawings blueprints and technical manuals.
• Experience with multi-acre land development projects that includes due diligence site layout utilities drainage and permitting.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work in an environment requiring exposure to fumes odors and noise.
• Must be available to work extended hours and weekends when needed based on site operational needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Occasional travel may be required based on specific project tasks.
• Valid drivers license.
