A new kind of property is opening in Miami Beach this summer, and we're looking for the senior security leader to build the program from day one. Our client is pioneering an entirely new asset class - a step above trophy Class A - built around the idea that a workplace should feel like a five-star hotel. Think Aman, Soho House, and One World Trade combined, with offices instead of rooms. High-end retail, spa, wellness, biohacking, food and beverage, a rooftop bar, a nightclub, and triple-Class-A offices with corporate headquarters, hedge funds, and law firms as tenants. The flagship opens this summer with 85% pre-lease occupancy already secured, and a national expansion to follow. The safety and security of tenants, guests, staff, and assets is not a background function here - it is a foundational promise. The Head of Security is the professional entrusted to carry that promise, with the authority and resources to do it right.

The Role

You will develop and oversee the full safety and loss prevention program - physical security protocols, access control, surveillance systems, and emergency response. You'll recruit, train, and lead the security team across all shifts, building a culture that is professional, discreet, and service-oriented. You'll manage and maintain all physical security infrastructure, conduct security assessments and risk evaluations, and serve as the primary responder for incidents - running investigations and preparing formal reports. You'll liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services, and regulatory agencies as needed. You'll own access credential management, visitor verification, after-hours protocols, and emergency preparedness planning in partnership with the GM and operations team.

You operate with authority and discretion. Tenants feel protected - never policed.

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in security management, loss prevention, law enforcement, or a closely related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
• Experience in luxury hospitality, Class A or Class X commercial real estate, or a high-profile private environment strongly preferred
• Current Florida Class D Security License required; Class G preferred - or demonstrated ability to obtain prior to start
• Deep knowledge of physical security systems, CCTV platforms, and access control technology
• Proven investigative skills with experience preparing formal incident reports and managing law enforcement coordination
• Strong emergency management credentials; CPR/AED certification preferred; OSHA familiarity
• Exceptional judgement and the ability to de-escalate sensitive situations with calm authority
• Impeccable professional integrity - discretion and confidentiality are non-negotiable
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
