Human Resources Assistant

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, assisting with a wide range of activities including recruiting, HR reporting, benefit, and general HR administration. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the HR function and supporting both employees and management.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruiting

• Proactively source candidates using various job boards.
• Review resumes and conducts initial phone or video interviews to assess qualifications and cultural fit.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Initiate necessary pre-employment checks in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Projects & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with teams to communicate and implement HR initiatives.
• Maintain some level of HRIS database
• Provide support to HR team members as needed.
• Support with the annual performance review process.
• Manage HR correspondence, files, and documentation.
• Perform other duties and assignments as needed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ year experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar HR/administrative role.
• 1-2 years' experience in recruitment, high volume experience is preferred.
• Benefit administration experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately follow instructions.
• Experience using HRIS systems, preferably with Workday.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Bilingual Chinese Mandarin is highly preferred.

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Pay Range:

• $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience.

Salary Range:

$12.00 - $40.00
