Cost Accountant

Cost Accountant | Cadillac, MI Salary Range: $67,000 - $101,000 depending on experience Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain standard product costs. Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare variance reports. Support the budgeting and forecasting processes for production costs. Perform margin analysis and provide insights on product profitability. Collaborate with operations to identify cost reduction opportunities. Prepare inventory valuations and reconcile to the general ledger. Assist in the development of cost models for new products and processes. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
