Area Sales Manager - Dallas-Fort Worth - Ottava

Your contributions will help effectively treat some of the world’s most prevalent conditions such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. Patients are waiting. Your unique talents will help patients on their journey to wellness. Purpose As an Area Sales Manager (ASM) for Ottava, you will be the point person for end‑to‑end commercialization, including sales, support, and capital program management. You will access, develop, and execute business with clinical champions, engage clinicians and other J&J MedTech team members, and interact with C‑suite stakeholders within target accounts. Your role includes leading clinical and technical product discussions, presenting capital equipment services, financing and sales options, and supporting post‑sales installation and adoption. Responsibilities Develop and execute quarterly business plans to achieve capital equipment and disposable sales revenue targets within the assigned geographic territory. Gain access to clinicians; conduct appropriate discovery of the customer’s needs and goals, educate with a Challenger selling framework, and ultimately test and build them into clinical champions. Engage directly with C‑suite stakeholders by going directly to them, leveraging clinical champions, and working with administrative assistants. Conduct discovery and engage all relevant stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of the account’s goals and needs. Present, educate, manage, and thoughtfully challenge multiple stakeholders in a complex sale and boardroom environment. Maintain a detailed, frequently updated strategic business plan for the territory. Present realistic sales forecasts to sales management on a consistent basis. Develop relationships with clinical and economic champions at new and existing customers to understand needs, capital buying cycles, and funding options. Lead product technical and clinical demonstrations to ensure eventual sales and adoption of Ottava. Present and negotiate capital pricing and program performance terms with the customer in collaboration with the sales management team to achieve mutually desirable outcomes. Implement post‑sales installation, implementation, and adoption protocols in collaboration with the sales team and service team to achieve business objectives. Support new customers in clinical adoption of Ottava. Work with the customer to ensure they can achieve clinical and economic goals, driving higher utilization rates. Develop and maintain expert knowledge of Ottava products; demonstrate a firm grasp of industry and market trends and develop strategies to stay ahead of competition. Qualifications and Requirements Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in healthcare, with at least 3 years in capital sales. Demonstrated ability to learn and communicate technical product and clinical knowledge to physicians and economic buyers. Ability to travel extensively up to 75%, including overnight travel within the assigned territory. Required to work in a hospital or ASC setting, attend live patient cases when required, and wear necessary protective gear. Self‑starter who performs well with autonomy and solves problems in high‑pressure environments. Team player who shares sales strategies and key learning with management and peers. Receptive to constructive feedback and collaborates in a matrix team environment. Ability to articulate customer needs and feedback to the organization. Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Proficient at communicating at a high level and high frequency with management and the broader organization. Experience working in a regulated environment in compliance with ISO13485 and 21CFR820. Eligibility for a performance‑based MBO program. Eligibility for company‑sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Eligibility for the consolidated retirement plan (pension) and a 401(k) savings plan. Eligibility for the long‑term incentive program. Time‑off benefits:

  • Vacation: 120hours per calendar year
  • Sick time: 40hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay (including floating holidays): 13days per calendar year
  • Work, personal and family time: up to 40hours per calendar year
  • Parental leave: 480hours within one year of birth/adoption/foster care of a child
  • Condolence leave: 30 days for immediate family member, 5 days for extended family member
  • Caregiver leave: 10days
  • Volunteer leave: 4days
  • Military spouse time‑off: 80hours
