Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in the ER according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Collect pertinent data, assess patients, determine diagnoses and care issues, and develop and implement care plans; evaluate progress.
- Administer medications and therapies, monitor responses, and coordinate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure timely and safe care.
- Supervise and direct activities of licensed and unlicensed nursing staff; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties with other care teammates.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, healing, and patient-centered care; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
- Document care using the electronic health record, participate in continuous quality improvement, and respond to emergent situations in the ER.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor (per facility policy)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in an acute/ER setting
- BSN preferred; nursing education aligned with the role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ER environment and to handle 12-hour shift length
- EPIC experience is a plus, but not required
