Linux System Administrator

Job Overview Radiance supports major Air Force programs in Dayton, OH, and is searching for an experienced Red Hat Linux System Administrator to support critical IT resources at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). The qualified candidate will provide maintenance, sustainment, and enhancement to the IT architecture in a classified environment; ensure compliance with applicable information assurance requirements; ensure 24/7 continuity of operations; and create and update relevant system documents. Work hours are normal business hours, with occasional support during non‑business hours. Job Responsibilities Perform installation and maintenance of Linux servers and network systems. Provide backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space. Test updates to enterprise system software to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact. Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed. Performance and network tuning. Develop best practices with respect to process and documentation/templates. Required Skills Active Top‑Secret clearance with immediate SCI eligibility. Knowledge of IntelliEarth Integrator Software. Experienced with PostgreSQL database installations and backups. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or 10+ years of experience without a degree. Experience administering RedHatEnterpriseLinux (RHEL) 7/8 servers in a classified environment. Knowledge of security operations such as security safeguards administration and information assurance. Network security certification such as Security+ (minimum) or higher. Desired Qualifications Other Linux OS knowledge (CentOS, Rocky Linux) helpful. Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Tomcat, Apache, and other web server installations using PKI infrastructure. Experience with scripting languages and automation. Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, and network tools. Behavioral Competencies Great attitude with high degree of customer focus. Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
