Superintendent - Big-box Retail/Commercial

The company has a diverse portfolio spanning mixed-use residential, industrial, and commercial construction, but this role is heavily focused on big-box retail projects.We're looking for construction leaders who understand the unique challenges of occupied retail environments, accelerated schedules, and large-format commercial construction.What You'll DoLead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.Manage day-to-day field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and project schedules.Coordinate project execution with Project Managers, clients, architects, and engineers.Maintain high standards for quality control and jobsite safety.Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Conduct subcontractor meetings and coordinate all trades on-site.Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documents.Identify and resolve field issues before they impact project timelines.Manage punch-list completion and project turnover activities.Foster strong client relationships while representing the company professionally in the field.What We're Looking For7+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.Strong experience with big-box retail construction, remodels, expansions, and ground-up developments.Experience managing projects valued from $5M to $50M+.Proven ability to lead large field teams and multiple subcontractors.Excellent scheduling, planning, and coordination skills.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Strong understanding of OSHA standards and jobsite safety requirements.Willingness to travel throughout Florida as project needs require.Highly Preferred ExperienceCandidates with direct experience working on projects for major retail chains such as:PublixTargetWinn-DixieWalmartCostcoHome DepotLowe'sGrocery and retail renovation programsOccupied retail construction projectsBenefitsVacation/PTOMedicalDentalVisionAllowancesBonus401kBonusRelocationTelecommute
