Job Title Underwriter - FHA Pay Range $85,000 to $100,000 + Bonus Responsibilities Underwrite residential loans ensuring compliance with company and investor standards. Examine loan documentation for accuracy and completeness and work with loan originators or production staff to secure all required documents. Involved in conventional, government‑backed, and other mortgage lending products. Work with senior underwriters on loan exceptions, including the authority to withdraw and decline loans. Respond directly to individual and investor audits. Handle all levels of underwriting authority and exception levels. Qualifications 7+ years of mortgage underwriting experience. 5+ years of FHA, Conventional, and USDA/RD underwriting experience. Experience under multiple lender guidelines and requirements. Knowledge of Fannie Mae/DU and Freddie Mac/LP guidelines and automated underwriting systems. Ability to critically examine credit, income, asset documents, title policy, and appraisals. Experience with Encompass and GUS preferred.
