Responsable del movimiento de remolques hacia y desde las puertas de carga y descarga y en todo el patio. También puede ser responsable de la carga, descarga y/o clasificación física de paquetes a mano, incluyendo levantar, empujar, tirar, transportar y colocar, de manera segura y eficiente. Funciónes esenciales: Realiza cambios de remolques, definidos como enganchar y mover un remolque estacionado del patio a una puerta de carga o descarga, o enganchar y mover un remolque de una puerta al patio. Comunica con la gerencia y/o control central para coordinar los movimientos de remolques en el patio. Documenta los movimientos de los remolques utilizando el Sistema de Gestión de Patio o tarjetas de conmutación. Realiza inspecciones antes y después de cada viaje en el equipo de conmutación. Entiende y demuestra procesos y procedimientos de seguridad de conmutación de patio efectivos. Realiza otras tareas asignadas. Educación mínima: Ninguna requerida. Experiencia mínima: No se requiere experiencia; seis meses de experiencia como manipulador de paquetes o experiencia como operador de conmutación/CDL son preferibles. Conocimientos, habilidades y capacidades: Debe tener una licencia de conducir válida y mantener un archivo del Departamento de Transporte (DOT). Se requiere una licencia de conducir comercial (CDL - Clase A) para operar en el comercio interestatal. Capacidad para entender y seguir instrucciones sobre deberes laborales y métodos de seguridad. Capacidad para discernir números e información para clasificar paquetes correctamente. Capacidad para utilizar herramientas y equipos básicos como rodillos de ruedas de patín, carros de muelle, escáneres portátiles, canales y dispositivos de descarga. Fuertes habilidades de comunicación e interpersonales; capacidad para trabajar bien en un entorno de equipo rápido. Condiciones de trabajo: Puede trabajar en temperaturas calientes y frías.
