PCU Registered Nurse

$2080.80/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized nursing care in a high-acuity step-down unit for adult patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions. Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, administer treatments, and coordinate care to ensure optimal outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Implement and monitor patient care plans according to physician orders and unit protocols. Perform bedside assessments, including vital signs, neurovascular checks, and documentation every 4 hours. Administer medications and IV therapies, including titratable drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, and heparin. Manage complex equipment including bedside monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and respond rapidly to changing acuity. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, conduct hourly safety rounds, and facilitate patient positioning and ADLs. Qualifications: Hold a valid AK RN license (permanent, no temporary licenses accepted). Minimum 1 year of recent step-down ICU, IMC, or PCU experience. At least 1 year of telemetry or cardiac monitoring experience. Demonstrate proficiency with titratable drips and complex medical equipment. Display strong teamwork, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a busy unit. Certified in BLS, ACLS, and NIH-SS.
