JOB DESCRIPTION Senior Manager, Supply Planning Location: Hybrid - United States - Minnesota - Plymouth Salary Range: $129K - $259K (may vary by location) Posted: Apr 27, 2026 Responsibilities Manage the development of production plans to support end customer sales, non‑revenue demand, and finished goods changes. Manage finished goods inventory levels and safety stocks at desired service levels while maintaining low inventory investment. Resolve product delivery conflicts with plans and prioritize production schedules. Set strategic and tactical direction for the organization to support business plans; develop and implement strategic improvement initiatives. Consolidate, review, and approve information required for plans and updates; present to senior management; ensure schedule commitments and financial goals are met. Manage resources, provide direction to staff, approve staffing decisions, and develop organization for effectiveness. Translate inputs from technical meetings and Marketing into impact on short‑term and long‑term raw material procurement strategies. Coordinate plans with R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing to ensure adequate inventory levels before market entry. Communicate with senior Abbott management, suppliers, and executive management. Represent Abbott with external agencies. Collaborate with peers in Purchasing, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Quality to support production. Develop talent: attract/retain diverse highly qualified staff, provide ongoing performance feedback, set objectives aligned to department, division, and company goals, and coach and mentor staff. Exercise strong leadership skills to build positive relationships with team and cross‑functional partners to achieve business results. Create a high‑performance organization that meets strategic and operational goals by fostering a culture of learning and motivating others. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 10 years of people‑management experience with demonstrated managerial abilities. Minimum 10 years of project‑management experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective at multiple organizational levels. Willingness to travel up to 25%, including internationally. Preferred Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in medical device industry. Master’s degree or MBA. Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross‑division business unit model.
