Wellness Wise Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist (OPT) to enhance our patient care services at our outpatient facility located in Port Charlotte, Florida. Work Environment

You will work in a friendly and collaborative outpatient office environment that fosters professional growth and teamwork. Our clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule that allows for optimal patient engagement and care planning. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their unique needs and establish individual rehabilitation goals.
• Develop tailored care plans that incorporate evidence-based treatment methodologies and a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Implement effective therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities aimed at maximizing patient outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously using our EMR system, specifically Web PT, ensuring all data reflects the patient's treatment journey accurately.
• Provide education to patients about their conditions and treatment plans, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Encourage patient motivation and adherence to therapy by tracking improvements and celebrating milestones along their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a unified and comprehensive approach to each patient's treatment plan.
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in physical therapy techniques, integrating new knowledge into practice.
• Maintain a manageable caseload, ensuring each patient receives focused attention and care tailored to their specific rehabilitation goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, trauma, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with athletes as well as everyday individuals looking to improve their athletic performance or manage pain. Your expertise will enable you to address the needs of diverse patient demographics, helping them return to their daily activities and prefered lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and an active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A proven track record of effective orthopedic outpatient care.
• Exceptional knowledge of manual therapy techniques and a firm understanding of evidence-based practice.
• Strong skills in creating personalized exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to educate patients and document care.
• High-level competency in the use of EMR systems, particularly experience with Web PT, for accurate patient record management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient clinic setting, particularly focusing on orthopedic physical therapy.
• Expertise in utilizing modern physical therapy methodologies that emphasize patient engagement and functional outcomes.
• A background in teaching or mentoring other physical therapists is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
