Firefighter/Paramedic (Lateral) Location: San Rafael, CA – 1400 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael This open/continuous recruitment allows lateral Firefighter‑Paramedics to express interest in joining the San Rafael Fire Department. While there may not be an immediate vacancy, applicants will be screened for qualifications and may be placed on a list for hiring as positions become available. Total Compensation: $125,768 – $149,935 (Base Salary + Comprehensive Benefits Package; additional incentive pays available based on qualifications & assignment) Responsibilities The Firefighter‑Paramedic protects life, property, and the environment by performing firefighting activities, emergency medical aid, hazardous materials response, and fire‑prevention duties. The position also involves maintaining fire equipment, apparatus, and facilities, and collaborating with multiple service agencies during emergency responses.
