Our client is a well-established public accounting and advisory firm with a dedicated construction industry tax practice. As the firm continues to align its tax teams by industry and client size, they are seeking a Tax Senior Manager to step into an established portfolio of construction clients and lead complex engagements for contractors and their owners. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n
• Serve as a trusted advisor to construction contractors, providing strategic tax planning, consulting, and business advisory services
\n
• Take ownership of an established portfolio of primarily enterprise-sized construction clients, expanding client ownership over time
\n
• Lead complex tax engagements for contractors, developers, and related entities, including multi-state compliance, long-term contract accounting, and entity structuring
\n
• Proactively identify tax-saving opportunities and advise clients on emerging tax legislation and industry trends
\n
• Oversee engagement quality, risk management, profitability, and timely delivery
\n
• Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated solutions that address clients' business and tax needs
\n
• Mentor and develop managers, seniors, and staff, with an emphasis on getting team members up to speed and building a collaborative team culture
\n
• Support business development and practice growth over time through industry networking, proposals, and prospect activities
\n

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

\n

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
\n
• Active CPA license
\n
• 10+ years of public accounting tax experience, including experience serving construction industry clients
\n
• Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and serve as a strategic advisor to business owners and executives
\n
• Demonstrated success leading teams and developing talent
\n
• Approachable, down-to-earth communication style that connects with contractors and hands-on business owners
\n
• Based near one of the listed locations, with the ability to be in the office and at client sites as needed
\n

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

\n

\n

\n
• Experience serving enterprise-sized construction clients; exposure to small and mid-sized businesses is a plus
\n
• A dedicated construction industry focus, or broad tax generalist experience with construction client exposure and a strong interest in deepening industry expertise
\n
• Experience advising closely held, owner-operated businesses
\n
• Experience managing engagements end to end, including scope, budgets, and client deliverables
\n
• Experience supporting business development, proposals, or industry networking
\n
