We facilitate relaxation and rejuvenation in a social atmosphere. In addition to a dry sauna, steam room and hydrotherapy pools, we offer services including massages, body treatments and facials. We are currently hiring for an Operations Director. This position, in conjunction with the Spa Director, Facilities Director and Operating Partner, oversees operational details of the spa facility, with a concentration on administrative duties. Overview of Responsibility: Plan and monitor the day-to-day business operations to ensure everything is running smoothly and we are meeting our business objectives Work one weekly Manager on Duty shift, as well as other Manager on Duty, Front Desk and Attendant shifts as needed Liaise with Operating Partner to make decisions for operational activities (i.e. front desk protocols, finding new vendors, web service updates)and set, communicate, and support progress towards strategic goals Provide outstanding leadership to team members, including providing strongcoaching and development opportunities, with a goal of building team member experience,while maximizing work output and work quality Direct and collaborate with Front of House Manager Oversee and uphold positive customer relations support and organize processes to enhance customer satisfaction Proactively identify patterns and problem areas, and implement effective solutions to increase efficiency Maintain strong relationships with any third-parties (vendors, financial institutions, suppliers) the department works with regularly to ensure smooth procurement and delivery of products and services Regularly review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability Report key financial information to LLC partners through periodic reporting Revise and/or create operational policies and processes and support their implementation Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements; partnering with HR to conduct investigations; maintaining records Act as the direct liaison for VIP members, providing a personal level of service beyond what standard Front Desk interactions offer. Effectively and regularly evaluate overall company performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting relevant organizational data and metrics Qualifications Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of management experience, including at least 2 years in a multi-department leadership role. Demonstrated experience managing and developing teams in a fast-paced customer service environment. Demonstrated experience and sound judgement applied to important leadership activities including employee relations, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution. Strong understanding of scheduling, payroll auditing, and Seattle employment law compliance. Experience with scheduling software, and POS systems (proficiency in Zenoti a plus). Proven strong performance in creating, implementing, and improving operational systems, policies, and standard operating procedures. Experience with inventory management. Ability to analyze financial reports, operational budgets, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with employees, guests, vendors, and ownership. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proven ability to prioritize competing responsibilities while maintaining a calm, respectful, and solutions-oriented approach. High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential employee and business information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace and the ability to quickly learn new software systems. Ability to consistently work required hours per week, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays Ability to respond to facility or staffing emergencies outside of normal business hours when necessary. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a spa, bathhouse, wellness, hospitality, hotel, or fitness environment. Experience with payroll systems (proficiency in ADP a plus). Position Requirements Must be able to safely lift 60 lbs. Must be able to quickly traverse stairs in a safe manner Ability to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the facility. Ability to work in a warm, humid environment around pools, steam rooms, and saunas for duration of shift. Ability to consistently work required hours per week, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays Ability to respond to facility or staffing emergencies outside of normal business hours when necessary. Fully understand and perform the duties and requirements of the Manager on Duty (MOD) position at a mastered level. Understand and comply with all guidelines and procedures within the Employee Handbook, MOD Manual, FOH Manual and Operations/Facilities Manuals. Attend and contribute to weekly Upper Management meetings Attend and co-facilitate monthly MOD meetings. Ability to co-facilitate 2-3 all-staff and department meetings per year. Able to effectively work with, coach, and manage diverse personalities. Maintain confidentiality of all employee and client issues. Ability to communicate professionally and kindly with all team members and guests Ability to professionally collaborate with fellow directors and LLC Partners. Ability to professionally give and receive feedback Compensation: This is an over-time eligible, non-exempt salary position $70,000-$72,000 Full-time salaried employees receive medical insurance (Medical & Vision) coverage after 60 days of full-time employment at a rate 100% paid, and up to 80 hours paid vacation at the Employee’s salary rate after 1 Year of full-time employment as determined by average full-time hours worked during the previous year.
