Role Overview

This position requires a Digital Content Strategist to collaborate with digital strategists, experience designers, site developers, and other stakeholders to deliver distinctive online experiences. The role involves championing the brand voice, analyzing and implementing content strategy, and writing engaging, on-brand copy. The ideal candidate will lead with strategy, adopt new technologies, and practice quality assurance to maintain content integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Team up with digital strategists, experience designers, site developers, subject matter experts, legal and compliance partners, and other key stakeholders to deliver distinctive online experiences with compelling content.
• Be the brand voice by championing verbal identity principles through effective content strategy, writing, editing, peer review, agency consultation, ongoing training and education, and pair writing with subject matter experts.
• Analyze, plan, develop, and implement content strategy to meet business goals for aligned team(s), including understanding product value propositions, audiences, and applying behavioral science principles.
• Write and edit copy that is engaging, easy to understand, on-brand, and backed by data and research, using UX writing to guide site visitors.
• Partner with the content team by participating in standards discussions, peer reviews, and fostering cross-segment and cross-channel alignment.
• Keep current with best practices, digital trends, usability, accessibility, SEO, and industry trends.
• Champion editorial style by following, promoting, and adding to grammar and format guidelines to ensure quality and consistency.
• Lead with strategy by understanding, applying, and disseminating content best practices in cross-functional teams.
• Adopt new and existing technology to capture, store, repurpose, deliver, and preserve content.
• Practice quality assurance procedures at each deliverable stage to maintain content integrity and ensure that content meets project specifications and standards.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, English or related field, or equivalent education and related training is required.

Experience: Five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing or leading projects or project work streams and operating as a lead in a specialty capacity.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, and methodologies associated with content marketing and the Marketing discipline.
• Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape.
• Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders.
• Ability to provide direction, coaching, and mentorship to experienced teammates.
• Fluent in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience preparing presentations for senior-level teammates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent writing skills with demonstrated ability to write successfully for websites and other digital interfaces, including copywriting and UX writing.
• 5+ years of online/digital content development and strategy experience.
• Experience working on teams that employ agile best practices and processes.
• Experience working with Figma.
