Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking experienced Emergency MedicinePhysicians for locums coverage in Winter Haven, Florida. Thisopportunity includes coverage at a freestanding emergency setting fullyintegrated with a nearby hospital campus, with access to comprehensiveinpatient and specialty services.

• Providers must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
• Preference for physicians who are willing to cover both the main hospital and affiliated freestanding emergency departments
• Main hospital: May consider shifts shorter than 12 hours
• Freestanding emergency departments: 12-hour shifts required
• Projected Annual ED Volume: Approximately 19,000 visits
• Average volume of approximately 52 patients per day
• 12 private patient care beds
• Dedicated trauma room
• Dedicated pediatric treatment room

Theemergency department is fully integrated with the affiliated hospital campusand provides access to comprehensive specialty and inpatient services. Patientsrequiring admission will be transported to the main hospital campus or anotheraffiliated facility, with seamless handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, andspecialists .

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine through:
• American Board of Emergency Medicine ( ABEM ), or
• American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine ( AOBEM )
• OR Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with a minimum of 3 years of Emergency Medicine experience
• ACLS required
• PALS required
• Active Florida medical license
