Crisis Intervention CoordinatorWe are seeking a Crisis Intervention Coordinator to lead and oversee crisis services throughout Madison, Greene, Calhoun, Jersey, Macoupin, Montgomery, and Bond Counties. This role is responsible for supervising a 24/7 crisis intervention program, ensuring high-quality, timely response to individuals in crisis, and guiding staff in complex clinical and legal decision-making. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in crisis services, the ability to manage high-pressure situations, and a commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care. Preference will be given to applicants who live within these seven counties.Chestnut Health Systems™ is a leading provider of integrated health care services. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A.This role is Monday-Friday, daytime hours.The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $49,000 - $55,000 annual salary.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversight of crisis intervention services operating 24/7 across assigned countiesSupervise Crisis Intervention Specialists (Levels I–IV), ensuring appropriate staffing coverage and program performanceProvide clinical and operational guidance on crisis response, including involuntary hospitalization decisions and alternative interventionsExercise independent judgment in prioritizing services and ensuring timely, appropriate care deliveryCoordinate program development, implementation, and evaluation in alignment with policies, procedures, and regulatory standardsAnalyze program outcomes and implement improvements based on evaluation resultsTrain, supervise, and evaluate staff, interns, and volunteers; ensure completion of required trainings (including Relias when applicable)Collaborate with hospitals, law enforcement, community partners, and internal programs to support coordinated careProvide direct crisis intervention services to clients and families as neededCollect, analyze, and submit required program data and reports accurately and on timePromote a culture of customer service excellence and adherence to organizational standardsLeadership & CultureModel recovery-oriented values including hope, respect, empowerment, wellness, and connectednessPromote trauma-informed care and evidence-based crisis intervention practicesServe as a role model, fostering professionalism, collaboration, and accountability among staffMaintain composure and provide clear direction in high-stress, time-sensitive situationsBuild strong partnerships with community stakeholders and multidisciplinary teamsQualificationsMaster's degree in a human services field requiredSupervisory experience preferredExperience in crisis intervention, emergency services, or behavioral health strongly preferredValid driver's license, private automobile insurance, and insurability requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic medical record (EMR) systemsStrong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to manage complex, high-risk situations and guide staff effectivelyStrong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations and community partnersAbility to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all organizational policies and protocolsAre you intrigued by this job but don't meet every requirement?
