Operations Manager – Manufacturing & Distribution

About The Opportunity

We are a leading designer and manufacturer of food handling, food preparation, and material handling equipment serving major foodservice, retail, and e-commerce customers. As we continue to scale, we are seeking a high-impact operations manager to lead our manufacturing and distribution operations in the Dallas–Fort Worth region.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader and team builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven ability to drive performance, develop people, and create a highly aligned, accountable organization.

Reporting directly to the vice president of national operations, this position plays a critical role in achieving aggressive growth and operational excellence goals.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for the location's P&L and leading daily operations across all fabrication and production areas, including stainless steel, aluminum, and steel manufacturing, welding (MIG/TIG), cutting/punching, forming/bending, assembly, and inspection.
• Develop and execute ERP-driven production schedules to meet demand and on-time delivery targets.
• Drive output and efficiency to achieve sales and production goals.

Leadership, Coaching & Team Development

• P&L and Budgeting Responsibility
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team.
• Establish clear expectations and accountability across departments.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development.
• Foster a culture of ownership, engagement, and continuous learning.
• Develop future leaders through succession planning.

Cross-Functional Alignment & Collaboration

• Drive collaboration between production, materials, quality, engineering, and logistics.
• Ensure alignment around shared goals and KPIs.
• Improve workflow and reduce bottlenecks through communication.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor capacity, labor utilization, and resource allocation.
• Analyze KPIs and implement improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion quality and safety.
• Manage inventory and operational costs.

What we are looking for:

• 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Strong background in metal fabrication processes.
• Proven ability to develop teams and drive performance.
• ERP system experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
