Restaurant General Manager

Restaurant General Manager – San Jose, CA We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our fast‑casual dining establishment in San Jose. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing operational costs, and building a strong team. Key Duties & Responsibilities Internal Service: Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees. Monitor staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent; ensure systems for training employees on workstations are fully implemented and adhered to by management and crew; identify and develop internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions. Work with restaurant management team to ensure all facets of “My Promise to You” and the Service Profit Chain are executed; create an employee‑friendly environment that is fun, clean and safe; motivate and inspire employees to achieve high performance; treat all employees with respect and dignity; and regularly recognize and reward employees. Understand and utilize JIB systems, processes, and tools; and comply with all state and federal labor laws and regulations. External Service: Manage daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operational performance. Provide an exceptional experience for guests by ensuring proper training and holding the restaurant team accountable for consistently delivering excellent guest service and food quality in adherence with JIB systems, procedures, and food safety requirements. Review practices and modify as needed to continuously improve the guest experience; maintain visibility and interaction with guests; respond to guest concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner, and ensure positive resolution. Ensure management team and crew understands and operates all systems correctly. Maintain the brand image of restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and excellent service.
