Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: RN Step Down Specialty: RN Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac surgery patient care - Post-operative care for lung surgery patients - Familiarity with esophagectomies, bronchial valves, EP lab, and Cath lab Description: The primary patient population includes individuals recovering from cardiac surgeries such as CABG, valve surgery, or heart transplants. Care is also provided for post-operative lung surgery patients, including those who have undergone small wedge resections, lobectomies, or double lung transplants. Additional patient populations served include those recovering from esophagectomies, bronchial valves, and general cardiology patients. A strong understanding of cardiovascular and respiratory patient care is essential. The role requires competency in assessing and managing complex patient needs in a dynamic environment.
