About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in specialty applying for prior to travel. License: Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: MUST have 18 months of recent Step Down experience; travel experience will suffice. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments must be completed during orientation with acceptable scores. Traveler must work at least every other holiday. Background checks of any kind will be reviewed; open cases will not be accepted. Required certifications need to be active with nothing pending. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a step down unit. The candidate must have progressive care experience preferred but not required. The position includes potential to float to other units to care for the same patient population. Shift rotations may include evenings and nights, depending on operational needs. Travelers are permitted to submit for only one job at a time. References must come from supervisory positions within the specialty applying for. All references must be provided at the time of submission to qualify. Candidates must be nicotine free unless they meet specific medical or religious exemption criteria. Background checks will be reviewed, but no applicants with an open case will be accepted. Candidates need to pick up their badges and complete onsite prerequisites prior to starting. Compliance with health and safety standards is essential. Candidates must complete necessary pre-start modules, taking an average of 6-15 hours. No payment will be made for time spent on additional required modules.
