About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months of recent Step Down experience is required. License: Must have a permanent state nursing license in hand. Compact licenses are accepted. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications are required. Must-Have: Previous charge experience is preferred. Travelers must work every other holiday. Description: Registered Nurse position in a step-down unit with the potential to float to other units to care for the same patient population. Shifts are rotating between day and night (7 am - 7:30 pm/7 pm - 7:30 am). Shifts may be variable based on operational needs. A maximum of two attempts will be allowed for ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication assessments during orientation. Compliance with nicotine-free requirements is necessary, with exemptions for specific roles. Position candidates must complete background checks and fingerprinting prior to starting. Travelers need an acceptable score on required assessments to qualify for continued employment. Interdisciplinary support is available. Candidates are required to submit one reference from a manager or supervisor in the related specialty upon application. All required certifications must be active with no pending items.
