About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day and Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: MUST HAVE 18 months of combined permanent experience in specialty applying for. Experience can be from one location or combined across locations. MUST HAVE 18 months of recent Step Down experience. Travel experience will be considered. License: MUST HAVE a permanent license in hand. Compact state licenses are accepted. Certifications: American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Must-Have: Traveler must work at least every other holiday. Traveler will need to complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required, with a maximum of two attempts to pass. Description: This position is for a Step Down unit. You will care for patients who may require close monitoring and care post-surgery or critical illness. There may be a potential to float to other units to care for the same patient population. Shifts will be allowed to vary if necessary to meet operational needs. Current BLS and ACLS certifications must be active with no pending issues. Only candidates with references from a manager or supervisor within the past 12 months will be considered. All candidates must be nicotine-free unless exemptions apply. All qualifications and certifications must be actively held with no pending items. Background checks will be performed, and candidates with certain flags may not be accepted. All applicants may be required to complete modules for compliance and training. Final approval will consider candidate qualifications and adherence to operational needs.
