Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotation Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in specialty License: Permanent state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - 18 months of recent Step Down experience, travel experience acceptable - Ability to work at least every other holiday - Active certifications with nothing pending - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation with acceptable scores Description: The position is for a registered nurse in the step down specialty. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients requiring close monitoring and assessment. Floating to other units may be required to provide care for similar patient populations. Shifts may be variable based on the operational needs of the facility. Completion of the required assessments during orientation is necessary to maintain eligibility for the position. Candidates must possess experience as specified in the job requirements. Additional certifications and a state license are mandatory for consideration. A reference from a supervisory role in the specialty is needed for submission.
