Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position is designed for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter who is passionate about fostering inclusion and communication in educational settings.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience interpreting in educational environments preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, educators, and specialists
- Flexibility to provide support for both ESY (summer) and the upcoming academic year
- Professional certification or credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter are highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site interpreting services (ASL) to support a student’s access to curriculum and social engagement
- Deliver interpreter services during the school year for 330 minutes per day (full day), ensuring consistent communication support
- Offer hearing itinerant services: 100 minutes per week of direct student support and 180 minutes per month of consultative services during the regular academic year
- Serve ESY from June 15, 2026 – July 24, 2026, Monday through Friday, offering 1100 minutes per week of interpreter support and dedicated itinerant services (100 minutes per week direct, 75 minutes per month consult)
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment for students needing language access
