Floor Lead Phlebotomist

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting a floor lead phlebotomist to support the Long Beach VA Health Care System located at 5901 E 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90822. Services will be delivered to all requesting departments throughout the facility on a range of shift schedules. Responsibilities

• Performs proper specimen collection and labeling procedures used for routine and special procedures
• Ensure proper patient identification, specimen labeling, specimen handling, and transportation in accordance with laboratory protocols.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, quality assurance, and laboratory regulatory standards.
• Support employee onboarding, training, and mentoring of all new Ansible employees.
• Escalate staffing concerns, employee relations issues, complaints, and operational challenges to the Ansible Operations Manager.
• Facilitate communication between site employees, client representatives, and Ansible leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer service.
• Help track and report attendance, tardiness, and other workforce concerns.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited program required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive mentality with the ability to be flexible and assist as needed.
• Previous phlebotomy lead or supervisory experience required
• No sponsorship available

Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00 hourly
