Job Title : School-Based Instructional Aid w/ASL knowledge
Location : Olathe Public School District
Employment Type : Full-time

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and student-centered Instructional Aide to support students in a school-based setting. This professional must have conversational level ASL knowledge!  This role involves working with a diverse K–12 caseload, providing both academic and behavioral support in individual and group environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in classroom settings
•Assist with the implementation of instructional and behavioral plans
•Support students with academic tasks, social skills, and daily routines
•Help maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
•Monitor and document student progress as directed by teaching staff

Qualifications

•Comfortable working with a K–12 student population
•Ability to support students in both 1:1 and group settings
•Conversational Level ASL (Sign Language) Knowledge
•Minimum of 48 college credit hours (preferred)
•Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or behavior aide (preferred)
•Strong communication, patience, and adaptability
