Job Title Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown Location Clinton, SC | Inpatient Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract (13–26 Week Option) | Days, 3x12 Hours (7:00–19:30) | Every Other Weekend Coverage (Subject to Change Based on Need) Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions, including sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease Administer and monitor vasoactive infusions, IV antiarrhythmic therapy, thrombolytic therapy, and anticoagulation Perform and interpret cardiac telemetry monitoring and EKGs Assist with or support procedures including defibrillation/cardioversion and thoracentesis Monitor non-invasive blood pressure and respond to changes in patient condition Float to like units or other facilities as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies Required Qualifications Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license ACLS certification required BLS certification required NIHSS certification required Minimum 1 year of recent experience with Epic EMR Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or like unit (2 years preferred; first-time travelers considered based on experience) Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates 90–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible (exceptions apply for certain specialties and shift types — consult your recruiter for details) Preferred Experience / Skills 2 or more years of experience in Cardiac Stepdown or a related progressive care setting Prior travel nursing experience Familiarity with vasoactive drug administration and antiarrhythmic drug therapy protocols Why Join Us Orientation provided every Monday with a structured onboarding process, including reimbursement eligibility for pre-assignment modules (up to 16 hours) Floating assignments are limited to units and tasks for which competencies have already been demonstrated and documented, ensuring a safe and appropriate work environment Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 775003.
