Director, Fund/Client Accounting Manager

Director Fund / Client Accounting Location: Lake Mary, FL. Responsibilities Direct a Fund Accounting area consisting of multiple teams responsible for accounting services including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports. Manage financial and human resources for the unit, ensuring teams operate effectively to meet goals and objectives. Set guidelines for determining net asset value (NAV) across various fund sectors and promote consistency across product areas. Oversee client relationship management, ensuring service levels meet client needs and resolving client issues. Participate in sales efforts including RFP and RFI preparation and presentations. Provide oversight and guidance on financial statement disclosures and resolve complex escalated issues. Lead analysis of GAAP and/or IFRS rules to assess regulatory impacts and develop compliance policies. Set guidelines and priorities for drafting financial reports and communicate complex accounting details to clients. Recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff to maximize individual and team performance. Manage relationships with senior auditors and clients to ensure accurate financial reporting and fund performance depiction. Oversee multiple Fund/Client Accounting teams through subordinate managers and contribute to achieving team objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. 7-10 years of total work experience with at least 3-5 years in management preferred. Experience in fund accounting and client relationship management. Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred. Proven people leadership skills with ability to recruit, develop, and motivate teams.
