Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to ED patients, including triage, rapid assessment, monitoring, and treatment planning
- Administer medications, IV therapies, fluids, and analgesia; monitor and adjust therapy as needed
- Recognize life-threatening conditions and initiate timely interventions; readiness for defibrillation and rhythm management as required
- Document patient care in the MEDITECH EMR; maintain accurate, timely, and compliant records
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, and multidisciplinary team; coordinate patient flow, diagnostics, and discharge planning
- May assume charge nurse duties during the shift, providing leadership and ensuring safe patient handling and transfers

Requirements
- Current New York State RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- MEDITECH experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Ability to work in a high-stress ED setting; must be able to identify life-threatening situations
- IV therapy, medication administration, and phlebotomy certification to be completed during orientation
- Critical Care and charge experience is preferred; strong leadership and communication skills
