Position Summary


A global manufacturing company is seeking a Japanese Bilingual Financial Planning and Analyst (Junior- Mid level) to support business planning and corporate reporting activities. This role serves as a key liaison between the U.S. operation and headquarters in Japan, helping ensure local business initiatives align with global corporate strategies.


The successful candidate will support the development of business plans, strategic initiatives, investment proposals, and management presentations while providing regular reporting to headquarters in Japanese.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare management reports and business updates for headquarters in Japan.
• Support the development and execution of annual business plans and mid-term business strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of materials for business review meetings and management conferences.
• Support investment proposal development, financial analysis, and related documentation.
• Monitor business performance and provide analysis to management.
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders in both the U.S. and Japan.
• Ensure business planning activities are aligned with corporate objectives and strategic direction.
• Assist management with various planning and reporting initiatives as required.

Qualifications


Required

• Business-level Japanese and English communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and presentations in Japanese.
• Educational background or professional experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in financial analysis, accounting, business planning, corporate planning, or related functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must have prior professional accounting and/or finance experience in the United States.

Preferred

• Experience working for a Japanese or Japanese-affiliated company.
• Experience communicating with corporate headquarters in Japan.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
