IT Manager Lead and manage IT audit engagements from planning through reporting, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Oversee IT general controls testing activities including control design review, risk assessment, and compliance evaluation. Manage and mentor staff auditors, providing guidance on technical matters and professional development. Develop and maintain relationships with client management and serve as the primary point of contact for IT audit matters. Design and implement IT audit methodologies and approaches aligned with industry frameworks (COSO, COBIT, NIST). Review and approve audit work papers, findings, and recommendations prepared by team members. Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and regulatory changes affecting IT controls. Lead financial audit and SOX compliance engagements, managing multiple concurrent projects and client relationships. Oversee the development of audit programs, risk and control matrices, and internal audit reports. Manage and develop a team of staff auditors, ensuring quality standards and professional growth. Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and coordinate integrated audit activities. Evaluate complex accounting issues and provide technical guidance on GAAP and SEC reporting matters. Present findings and recommendations to client executives and audit committees. Drive process improvements and best practices across the audit practice. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in IT audit, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Professional certification required (CISA, CISSP, or equivalent). Deep knowledge of SOX 404 IT compliance requirements and testing methodologies. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Strong project management and client relationship skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to executive leadership. Staff IT Auditor Performs standard to complex audits on information systems, platforms, and operating procedures as directed. Performs IT general control testing activities including control design review, data analysis, and assembling data requests. Evaluates IT infrastructure in terms of risk to the organization and establishes controls to mitigate loss. Determines and recommends improvements in current risk management controls and implementation of system changes. Evaluates evidence collected from control design tests and operating effectiveness analyses; communicates results. Assembles status and analyses required to test compliance with SOX 404 and other compliance topics. Performs IT internal audits as defined by annual internal audit plan and special projects. Provides high‑quality, professional execution of internal audit engagements and projects in line with firm risk management practices. Develops audit programs, working papers, and internal audit reports. Performs SOX compliance activities including walkthroughs, testing of key controls, and preparation of risk and control matrices. Documents SOX walkthroughs and prepares audit work papers supporting evidence collected in testing. Updates process narratives, risk and control matrices, and flow charts when business process changes occur. Reviews adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommends remediation plans. Prepares periodic update reports on the status of SOX implementation/audit. Follows up on reported audit findings and assists external audit with year‑end testing. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Sciences. Knowledge of current accounting (GAAP) and auditing (GAAS) principles and Sarbanes‑Oxley Act provisions. Understanding of internal control concepts (COSO, COBIT). Understanding of auditing processes and methodologies, including flowcharting. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications. Desire to attain professional certifications (CISA, CIA, CPA).
