Managing Director, Innovation Banking (Beverly Hills)

Overview

Managing Director, Innovation Banking, provides senior leadership to execute the division's strategic plan. Lead a group of Commercial Bankers, Business Development Officers, and Portfolio Management staff to expand market share, grow the portfolio, and deepen customer relationships. Responsible for growth and development of the team’s portfolio within the Private Banking line as part of the Regional Banking business.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Division CEO in executing the Bank’s strategic plan, with a focus on growing the loan and deposit portfolio in the assigned region or business line.
• Be measured on the team’s success in meeting sales objectives, portfolio health, and management of market dynamics.
• Execute the tactical strategy regarding transaction pitches and negotiation of term sheets. Guide the credit structuring development process, customer assessment, and presentation to senior and divisional loan committees.
• Manage portfolio health and proactively address deteriorating loan performance, mitigating risk from market developments, service delivery challenges, and product adoption.
• Foster strong relationships with executive and senior leaders in partner departments (Credit Administration, Risk Management/Compliance, Loan Administration, internal support departments, and third-party services) and ensure compliance with processes, risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer service.
• Lead and develop a team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.

What You’ll Need

• 9+ years of related experience or in a similar field.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Advanced to expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and related commercial banking products and services.
• Advanced to expert knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and industry standards.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, pricing dynamics, and market awareness.
• Excellent communication skills, both speaking and writing.
• May require up to 50% travel.

Compensation

Salary range for new hires is generally $233,000.00 – $300,185.00 for Beverly Hills, CA. Salary is determined by location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonuses and restricted stock.
