Work Environment

The PTA role is primarily onsite in our hospital facility located in Saratoga, a picturesque city nestled in the heart of California's Santa Clara Valley, known for its rich community and serene landscapes. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in executing tailored treatment plans designed to mitigate pain, enhance mobility, and improve patients' functional outcomes.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional training, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury and maximize recovery.
• Administer physical therapy modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, applying these treatments in line with established protocols.
• Closely monitor and document patient progress, maintaining accurate records and relaying important updates to supervising PTs regarding patient response to treatment.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, lifestyle modifications, and methods to ensure ongoing recovery.
• Uphold HIPAA compliance by managing patient confidentiality and maintaining detailed clinical documentation.
• Cooperate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, participating in case discussions and collaborating with other professionals to enhance patient care coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work predominantly with adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient population values community relationships and individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, ensuring each individual receives holistic and targeted care.

Qualifications

• Current, valid PTA license to practice in California.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a PTA, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic, hospital, or rehabilitation setting.
• Strong foundational knowledge in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and patient education approaches.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a patient-centered and empathetic approach.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly regarded and may enhance workflow efficiency.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy, especially handling varied patient demographics.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient-centered goals.

Compensation and Benefits
